About Daria
Daria received her musical education at the P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with distinction in the class of Myroslava Kotorovych. Her artistic path subsequently took her to Germany, where she continued her studies at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music Dresden with the internationally renowned violinist Ivan Ženatý, also graduating with a Master of Music degree.
Alongside her studies, Daria was a scholarship holder of the Kurt Sanderling Academy of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. In this context, she worked closely with leading musicians of the orchestra, including Ulrike Petersen and Suyoen Kim. She is currently studying with Tibor Gyenge, Deputy First Concertmaster of the Saxon State Orchestra Dresden, and continues to develop her technical precision, musical expressiveness, and artistic maturity.
Daria Tarasova gained extensive orchestral experience in Ukraine as principal of the second violins with the chamber orchestra Artehatta. After moving to Germany, she worked as a substitute musician with renowned ensembles such as the Dresden Philharmonic and the Staatsoperette Dresden, and also appeared as a guest musician with the ensemble Mriya.
Alongside her orchestral work, Daria is deeply dedicated to chamber music and the development of her own artistic projects. A project particularly close to her heart is Ukrainian Sounds, in which she combines musical excellence with cultural openness. In the concert series Musical Treasures of Ukraine, she presents works by Ukrainian composers from the classical period to the present day, offering European audiences new perspectives on the diversity, depth, and emotional power of Ukraine’s musical culture.
